Post Labic Program
POST LABIC is a scaling program of citizen projects which were previously prototyped in a Civic Innovation Laboratory (LABIC). The goal is to develop a self-sustaining business model and a pilot in the field to scale the impact of the projects.
The program is organized by the Civic Innovation project of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and it was promoted by an agreement with the European Commission’s department of International Partnerships, thus supporting an innovative model within the international cooperation with the scaling of open license projects.
The program begins with a kick off in which the teams and mentors meet online in the scaling of projects for a week to get to know each other and review and refine together the action plan that the projects presented for the call. From then on, monthly mentoring sessions are organized to accompany the teams throughout the scaling process. Finally, the teams implement their projects in the field and have the opportunity to present their results publicly.
Meet the POST LABIC projects
LABICMEX (2021-2022), for 9 months work was carried out on the incubation and maturation of 5 projects on “accessibility and autonomy of people with disabilities” to be implemented in the State of Guanajuato (Mexico).
LABICCR (2019-2020), for 9 months, work was carried out on the incubation and maturation of 5 projects that emerged from the citizen innovation laboratory executed in Liberia, Costa Rica, on “environment and climate change” to be implemented in various countries of Ibero-America.
